Welcome To Rays of Hope-Bangladesh

Rays of Hope-Bangladesh (ROH) is a non-profit organization. ROH started its operation on May 1. 2004 in order to serve the under-privileged children (orphans, abandoned, missing, victims of trafficking) by providing them with shelter, food and accommodation, education and health-care, and providing them with skill training as well, so that these children become productive members of society and worthy citizens of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. Rays of Hope is situated in Savar and got its registration from the Bureau of NGO-Affairs (Bangladesh) in August 2006 #2130, and renuwal July 2011.

Rationale and relevance of the project to the National Planning documents (such as NSAPR- 2, VISION 2021, Sector objectives)

Success of project like “child-care and education” will help the government of Bangladesh, although on a small scale in achieving the goals of making Bangladesh a medium income country and poverty-free by the year 2021 (as part of National Planning such as NSAPR-2, VISION 2021).

Our Mission

Rays of Hope-Bangladesh (ROH) provide shelter, food, healthcare, education, and training to the orphan, abandoned, and destitute children. In future destitute mothers will be included in the program to make them contributing members of society.

Our Vision

Short-term goal: To provide shelter, healthcare, education, early childhood care, and nursing to orphan, abandoned, and destitute children in Bangladesh.  The project is based in Dhaka with plan to expand to other parts of the country.

Long-term goals:  We hope in the long-term to achieve the following:

Ø Establish a full-time school educating destitute children;

Ø Rehabilitate destitute mothers to facilitate their full re-entry into society;

Ø Establish a health clinic serving destitute families; &

Ø Expansion to underserved areas in Bangladesh.
